Franklin Academy

Register for driver education at Franklin Academy in Wake Forest. Jordan Driving School offers the driver education class and behind-the-wheel driving lessons at Franklin Academy.

Fall 2025 Registration Opens on TBA at 11:30 am. 

Registration for Franklin Academy is on a first-come, first-serve basis.  YOU MUST CURRENTLY BE ATTENDING FRANKLIN ACADEMY TO ATTEND!  DO NOT REGISTER IF YOU DO NOT ATTEND FRANKLIN ACADEMY.

If there are no classes listed on this page, all classes have been filled to capacity. You will need to wait for the next registration period. There are no waitlists for future classes. Contact your lead instructor if you have questions. Their contact information is on this page. Please do not contact the JDS office staff, as they cannot make exceptions to these rules.

  • Driver Ed Package

    Please pay attention to the age restriction imposed during our registration process. If you do not meet the age requirement by the first day of class, you will need to select a future class or wait until the next registration period once the age limit has been reduced. Contact your lead instructor if you have questions about the age requirementTheir contact information is found on this page.     • 30 hours of classroom
    • 6 hours of behind-the-wheel driving lessons
    • 6 hours of in-car observations

    Note: Courses are only for schools within Jordan's Driving School's jurisdiction (schools and residents of Wake County). Should you be ineligible and pay for registration on this site, you will be removed from the roster and forfeit your registration fee.

This class will meet the week of September 22-26, 2025, 8:00-2:00 daily, in room 106 at Franklin Academy in Wake Forest. Students must attend all 30 hours of instruction in order to be eligible to pass the class. Per DMV rules, students must be a minimum of 14.5 years old on the first day of class. This class is only open to currently enrolled students at Franklin Academy. Classroom instruction is Part 1 of Drivers Education; Part 2 is the Behind-the-Wheel instruction, which will occur approximately 3 months later. This class will be taught by Ed Tharrington, who can be reached at wakefield@jordandriving.com. Additional logistics information will be emailed to all families the week before the class begins.
