We are looking for full and part-time instructors to instruct teen drivers in the classroom and on the road.

To receive specific information, please follow through on one of the following options.

We are having an Instructor Preparation Course (no cost to you as long as you agree to exclusively teach for Jordan Driving School) beginning January 6, 2026, that will be held in the Media Center at Garner Magnet High School, 2101 Spring Drive in Garner. Below are the dates and times for this course. You must attend all sessions (4 Saturdays from 8 am - 4:30 pm and 15 Tuesday & Thursdays sessions from 4-8 pm). The entire course (required by the North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles) consists of 80 hours of classroom. In the 80-hour class you will also observe a classroom teacher and behind-the-wheel teacher for 6 hours each.

Once you complete the 80-hour course you will take a written exam and a Road Test given by the DMV. If you pass both tests and complete the 80-hour course, we will send in your license application materials, and you will be licensed to teach both classroom and behind-the-wheel courses to Wake County students through Jordan Driving School. The dates/times of the class are:

You can miss up to 8 hours of classes (for reasonable reasons) and can make up the 8 hours. Make dates and times will be set by the instructor. You must complete the full 80 hour required.

In order to qualify for the DMV Instructor License you must:

· Have at least four (4) years of experience as a licensed driver.

· You must not have more than six (6) points against your license

· You must possess a high school diploma or a GED certificate

· You must pass a Criminal Background Check

You must pass a Physical Medical Exam

· Pass the eighty (80) hour course and both a DMV written exam and a DMV Road Test
