If you would like to be considered for a course offered in the spring by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction's Driver Education Section, complete this form.

This course is taught twice a year via remote delivery and lasts for 17 weeks. In addition to NC DMV laws, you will learn how to create and execute lesson plans for classroom and in-car instruction and will work with teachers from around the state.  Teachers who complete the program will receive an add-on license, area 096: Safety and Traffic Education. Non-licensed staff will receive a restricted license acknowledged by NCDPI.
